Worth noting: University Affairs

The April issue of University Affairs magazine, which goes to some 20,000 faculty and administrators at 90 Canadian universities (and is available on newsstands), has several items well worth noting:
  • There's a feature story by freelancer and Ryerson journalism instructor Alex Gillis about cheating on campuses and his own experiences dealing with it.
  • There's another interesting feature by Anita Lahey about the amazing Boris Castel, nuclear physicist and editor of Queen's Quarterly.
  • And a letter from Editor Peggy Berkowitz, which calls into question the motivation behind Maclean's magazine's recent extensive coverage of cheating at universities. (Unfortunately, the letter is not available online)
*Disclosure: I do some occasional research work (not editorial) for the magazine.
